How to set up an enrichment
Step 1: Creating and Managing Flows
Before setting up HubSpot Enrichment, you must first configure the HubSpot integration. Please note that only Similarweb users must have the required permissions in both HubSpot and Similarweb (admin permissions) to complete the following steps.
Once a user has access, they can simply click 'I accept' to agree to the terms and conditions and move forward.

Step 2: Integration Success
With Similarweb and HubSpot successfully connected, the management page will indicate that the integration is successful by displaying when it was last synced. The disconnect icon is now available for managing the connection.
Step 3: Managing Your Integration
Once connected, administrators should click on the “management button” to define parameters. There are three integration elements to activate and define what you intend to achieve:
- Import from HubSpot to Similarweb:
- Export from Similarweb to HubSpot
- Hubspot enrichment *
Step 4: Field Mapping: Readying the Enrichment Flows
Activate the export from Similarweb to HubSpot option to map and export Similarweb data fields to HubSpot. From here you’ll be able to export company information, traffic metrics, industry insights, and more, directly into Hubspot.
- Use the toggles to activate which record types users can export.
- Click on the "edit field mapping" to map the Similarweb data fields to be exported to HubSpot.
- For each record type, verify the default fields are mapped to the correct fields within HubSpot.

To add Similarweb data fields, click Add Fields. Then, choose the fields you’d like to export into HubSpot, and click Add.
PRO Tip: Add valuable data fields - like company and industry information, web traffic stats, demographic insights, and more - to help you easily sort, qualify and prioritize your list of prospects.
- You can define the fields when enriching your CRM when exporting data, enriching your CRM or both, and you have the option to activate the “overwrite” of data as required.
- Once the selected fields have been added, you can map the newly added Similarweb fields to your HubSpot fields by selecting them in the dropdown menu under the HubSpot field column.
Step 5: Create Enrichment Flows
Setup a recurring automation that will enrich your company or contacts with Similarweb metrics. Here you will:
- Choose Which fields to enrich
- Set rules to dictate which records to enrich
- Decide whether records will be enriched in the future
Start by selecting the enrichment type you would like to choose:
- Immediate: This will enrich records in your CRM as soon as they are created, as per your dedicated enrichment requirements.
- Ongoing: Enrich records daily and refresh older data . Espcially useful if you want your Hubspot to remain up to date over time.
Note: You will be prompted to enable permissions to your Hubspot with either enrichment option you choose.
Step 6: Enrichment Settings:
Define the record type:You can decide on one job per enrichment type companies or contacts, however you can create up to 5 jobs at a time.
Refresh Data (for ongoing jobs only): As soon as possible, every 2 months, every 3 months or every 6 months.
Traffic data: Determine the company or contact data you'd like to analyze alongside this traffic data by geography. You can include worldwide traffic for a comprehensive overview or focus on a specific region for more targeted insight, based on the countries available per your subscription.
Enrichment Rules:
- You can enrich all records or create specific rules based on fields in your Hubspot CRM.
- If you want to enrich records by status or lifecycle stage you would start by including a rule such as: Lead status = new, in which case you would only enrich new records.
- If you want to define your enrichment type even further you can include additional rules based on Hubspot fields eg. city = London. In this example you would only enrich new records, and only those records which come from London.
Use with Data Credits
Review your enrichment before Submitting:
On the last step you will be able to review your enrichment flow and this will also give you an idea how many data credits it will cost each time a company in your Hubspot is enriched with Similarweb data.
Understanding Data Credits for Field Mapping
- Each additional field costs 1 extra data credit.
- Technographic fields cost a flat fee of 10 data credits, regardless of how many you add.
- Additional fields included in the Lead Enrichment Bundle do not increase the cost. The base price for the bundle is 25 data credits, which includes website and company name data, which are mandatory default fields.
- If you add more fields from the lead enrichment bundle (e.g. industry), there’s no extra charge since the user already pays for these within the Lead Enrichment bundle.
