Using Company Analysis

Company Analysis gives you a full picture of a company’s overall performance, not just website traffic and behavior. From Sales Signals to technologies they're using, this report goes in-depth into the companies you're prospecting or researching to provide key insights that help you land the deal!

 

 

 

Starting a Company Analysis

From the left-hand menu, click on Company Analysis. To find the company you want to analyze, type in the company’s name in the blank space and select from the menu that appears. You can also select from the Recent Searches list below (which appear after you’ve used the report). 

 

Company Overview

The Company Overview summarizes vital information in a single page, from which you can dive deeper into across the various tabs of the report. You'll see datapoints like company size, annual revenue, and e-commerce type. Along with...

  • The Signals Feed compiles traffic and engagement, intent, and more.
  • Digital assets break out the international website domains of the company.
  • Competitors highlight the top competing brands.
  • Geographic breakdown of where website traffic comes from.

 

Switching to Website Analysis

At any point you can switch to Website Analysis by clicking the company name up top and selecting the plus sign to explore the digital traffic the prospect’s digital assets receive. Read more about the feature and its value here.

  • Monitor the traffic their websites bring in, and understand how engaged their audiences are.
  • Find out where that traffic comes from and explore marketing channels like search in depth with a full list of Keywords that drive traffic to the selected domain.
  • Break out where customers are going by subdomain, folder, and even page, to get an accurate view of where they focus their business and where users are flocking to.

Sales Signals

The Sales Signals tab goes in-depth into a variety of signals that illuminate their sales tactics, strategies, and performance. Take advantage of the platform's intuitive filters that help you... 

  • Understand the challenges the company might be facing
  • Check out stories around their current investments or projects
  • Analyze intent with topics you follow such as ground shipping or event catering
  • Be alerted to newly added or removed technologies
  • Monitoring companies growing or declining in visits

These will guide you in your lead prospecting and give you an idea of their current position in the market and their trends.

 

 

Digital Assets

Digital Assets breaks out the international domains of the company. Here you can analyze the traffic by domain, changes in traffic, and get a two-year visits trend. This helps gauge a company's popularity by region, and whether or not people are interested in their brand across the globe

 

 

Technologies

Technologies highlights the different tech stacks that are found on the company's websites, including when a technology was added or removed from the sites. 

  • Find out who is working with competitive or complementary technology.
  • See what technologies your prospects (and competitors) are working with.
  • Identify when to target a prospect -  e.g. they’ve just installed a few competitors because they are in POC, and tech has been installed for 10 months, perhaps I should target before they renew.
  • Understand how to pitch against a competitor - e.g. they installed competitor Y and removed competitor X, I can now prepare my pitch.
  • Determine if I should pitch them my solution - e.g. they had a similar solution but removed it and didn’t install anything else, perhaps they don’t need it.

 

 

Competitors

With Competitors, you can analyze sites’ top competing brands. It's ranked by affinity, which is a Similarweb metric that represents the similarity of both domains based on metrics such as audience, content, and more. Click into the competitors to...  

  • Identify similar companies that may also be a strong fit for your product/services
  • Gauge your prospect against their competitors
  • Uncover the quality and relevancy of competitor performance
  • Understand their position in the overall market 

 

Contacts

Lastly, you can see the contacts at the company level, giving you a direct connection to the leads that will help you make your deal happen. You can filter by role, location, department, and/or title within the company for easier navigation.
