Find Leads & Opportunities with Search Companies

The Search Companies page (Advanced Search) makes it fast and easy to discover high-quality companies for lead generation, prospecting, and account research. You can now filter by buyer intent signals, customize your view, and save or export companies that match your ideal customer profile (ICP).

Explore this step-by-step article to learn more about the feature layout, how to apply filters (including Signals and Keywords), and manage saved searches and lists.

1. Start with Industry-Based Default Filters

When you open the Search Companies page, you'll now see default filters pre-applied based on your industry. This ensures you start with relevant results tailored to your vertical. You can adjust these filters or add new ones to refine your search further.

2. Use the Simplified Filters Panel

To reduce complexity, the filters panel shows only the most essential filters by default. To see all filters:

  • Click "Show more" to view the full list, organized by category.

  • Pin and unpin to personalize your view.

Pin and Personalize Your Filters

You can pin filters to keep your layout consistent and efficient:

  • Pin filters you use frequently by selecting the pin icon from the “All Filters” menu.

  • Filters automatically stay pinned when in use, so they’re easy to locate next time.

  • Pinned filters remain visible at the top of the panel even across sessions (saved per user).
  • Unpin irrelevant filters or filter without pinning for ad-hoc lead generation.

3. Combine Multiple Sales Signals in One Search

The Signals filter is a permanent, always-visible part of the filter panel - making it easier to find high-intent companies.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Select multiple Signals in the same search — for example, “Display Ads Growth” and “New Tech Adoption”.

  • Combine Signals with any other filters (industry, company size, traffic, technologies, etc.).

  • Apply Signals instantly — there's no need to save a search to use them.

  • Create, edit, or delete custom Signals directly in the Manage Signals popup.

Note: Signals are not saved as part of Saved Searches and will need to be re-applied when reloading.

4. Filter Companies by Keyword Traffic

You can filter companies by the keywords they receive traffic from, helping you identify prospects by the topics, technologies, or pain points they're actively ranking for.

To use the Keyword Filter:

  • Go to the Keywords filter group

  • Enter relevant terms (e.g., “cloud security”, “BNPL”, “freight management”)

  • Combine with industry or traffic filters to find niche opportunities

  • Saved Searches appear in a sidebar.

  • You can rename or delete searches from the sidebar.

Reminder: Signals are not saved and must be re-applied manually.

To create a list:

  • Run a search and apply your filters

  • Click "Add results to list"
