The Similarweb platforms are full of various charts and amazing data visualizations that display the insights you need. However we understand that sometimes you just need a clean spreadsheet of the numbers on the screen. Throughout the platforms, you can download most reports as an Excel spreadsheet, expanding how you read, interpret, and put our data to use.

Pure Data At Your Disposal

Downloading the data into an Excel spreadsheet allows you to utilize our data in different ways.

  1. It provides a clean and pure visualization of the data.
  2. Excel spreadsheets have various functionality that allows you to manipulate the data to view it just as you need it. This includes…
    1. Adding filters to easily sort the information by importance or relevance, depending on your needs.
    2. Grouping the results in varying ways to create pivot tables: an alternate way to find the insights.
    3. Implementing formulas such as averages, sums, or percentages.
    4. Quickly search for exactly what you’re looking for, which can be especially helpful with thousands of rows of data.
  3. Expanding on the above point, you can take these numbers and turn them into charts, graphs, or tables.

Whenever You Need Them, However You Need Them

There are various ways in which Similarweb has integrated Excel downloads, both within the platforms as well as otherwise.

  1. As you explore many of the Similarweb platforms, you will see a little Excel icon indicating that you can download the report to a spreadsheet. You will typically find this icon just above an insight widget to the right, and it will likely be next to other buttons depending on where you are. Simply click the Excel icon and the download will begin.
  2. In Sales Intelligence, you’ll see an Export options button just above your lists, where you can export to Excel. Excel, Sales Intelligence export.gif
  3. The  Data Exporter is a seamless way to export data at scale and on an automated basis (via a daily, weekly, or monthly basis). This data is downloaded as a CSV file, and it is a flexible and more efficient way to consume data credits. Click here to learn more about the Data Exporter.
  4. Our API services automate your workflows and helps you process custom data at scale with just a few clicks, allowing you to integrate Similarweb data into your own business intelligence or data visualization tools and take your analysis to the next level. Use with Data Credits

Data credits are the currency used to extract data from the Similarweb platform. Most Similarweb subscriptions come with Data Credits built-in, allowing you access to the Data Exporter, API offerings, and more. Certain Excel downloads will require the use of Data Credits. If that is the case, you will see how many are being used for your request, and how many are remaining. To learn more about Data Credits click here.
