There are three different levels of access, or "roles", that users can have on a Similarweb account: admin, champion and user.
Only admin users can change the role of a user on their account. Changes can be made through User Management in Account Settings.
Admin
Admin users have access to all tools and account settings. They’re the only users with access to billing information and usage reports.
Admins will have access to the following pages in Account Settings:
- Subscription information
- Billing information
- Invoices
- User Management - Including invite, edit, and remove users
- Usage Report
- Standard API - Including creating new API keys, deactivating, activating, and limiting users
Champion
Champions are super-users that have access to all account settings, but not billing info or usage data. They are selected and set by Admins.
Champions will have access to the following pages in Account Settings:
- Subscription information
- User Management - Including invite, edit and remove users
- Standard API - View only (with the ability to edit you own details)
User
User is the most basic permissions type. Users have full access to the platform but are not allowed to edit or view account details and usage data.
Users will have access to the following pages in Account Settings:
- Subscription information
- User Management - View only (with the ability to edit your own details)
- Standard API - View only (with the ability to edit your own details)
