App Engagement is a high-quality group of metrics for audience analysis and behaviors, including usage habits, user lifespan, and overall user engagement for the analyzed app.
Engagement rates are an indicator of how well your app meets user expectations after they download and use the app and over time. Retention is often dependent on the value your customers find in your service, and one way to measure that is with engagement insights.
Gain a complete understanding of an app's performance and strength and compare engagement with publicly reported KPIs using app Engagement insights.
Follow these steps to analyze and compare app engagement metrics for up to 5 apps:
Within the Competitive Research module, navigate to App Analysis.
Enter an app in the search or choose from your list of saved apps. and go to the Engagement page.
To target your analysis:
- Click +Add to compare up to 5 competitors. - Using the filters in the upper right, select the country, time period, and device type you'd like to analyze.
Data on this page is updated monthly. Monthly data is released by the 15th of the following month, e.g. data for June will be released by July 15th.
Open Rate: The percentage of the install base that opened the app during the selected time period.
Total Sessions, Total Time, Avg. Sessions, Avg. Time Spent, Avg. Session Length: To learn more about these metrics, visits Sessions (Apps).
