When do my API hits refresh?

Your API hits are refreshed on the first of every month, at 00:00 UTC time (as opposed to 30 days from the start of your API subscription). API hits are pro-rated until the end of the month.

Note

In some cases, it may take up to half an hour for the change to take effect.

What happens if my API subscription does not start on the first of the month, how many hits will I get?

API hits are pro-rated until the end of the month.

For example, if you renew or upgrade your account to include 30,000 monthly hits and this renewal occurs on the 20th of the month, you will only get the number of hits relative to the 10 days left in the month, meaning 10,000 hits. From the 1st of the next month, you will get the full amount of hits every month for the next 11 months, and then in the last month of your subscription, you will get the remaining 20,000 hits that were “leftover" from the beginning of the subscription.
