Get valuable data and insights on the geographical distribution of search traffic for a keyword or list of keywords. See total traffic, traffic trends, and CPC and find who is leading in each country.

How to Analyze Search Traffic by Country

Within Market Analysis > Search Interests, you can compare geography metrics for an industry.

 

To target your analysis, use the filters in the upper right to set the time period, country, and type of traffic (desktop, mobile, or all traffic) that you would like to analyze.

Notes: 

  • If available, mark the Compare to checkbox to compare either the previous year or previous period.

  • Some metrics are only available for desktop. If the device filter in the upper right shows desktop and you are not able to change the device type, then the metric is only available for desktop data.

In the table, you can see:

  •  

    Country: Geographical location that receives search traffic for the analyzed keyword(s). Note: You can click the country to view more granular search traffic data for that specific country, depending on the list of countries to which you have access.

  •  

    Traffic Score: Ranking of search traffic (based on traffic share) from 0 to 100 per country and helps illustrate how much search traffic is generated from this keyword. This score is relative to the top country’s search traffic for the analyzed keyword(s).

  •  

    Traffic Trend: Search traffic trend for the past 12 months. You can use the traffic trend graph to see growing markets by viewing where traffic is peaking throughout the year. Note: If it’s a recently trending keyword, there may not be a 12-month trend for it.

  •  

    Search Volume: Average number of monthly searches for the analyzed keyword(s) in Google (over the last 12 months).

  •  

    Organic vs Paid: Distribution of organic traffic (visits to your website as a result of unpaid "organic" search results) versus paid traffic (visits to your website after you have paid for advertising promotions).

  •  

    CPC: CPC (Cost-per-click) is the average price that advertisers paid for a click on their ad in Google’s paid search results.

  •  

    Leader: Domain receiving the most search traffic from the analyzed keyword(s).

Note: You can filter by Organic or Paid search.
