Scoring Settings

Scoring Settings lets you define exactly how companies are prioritized in Similarweb Sales Intelligence lead scoring, replacing the default system logic with your own ICP criteria.

Using a visual drag-and-drop builder, you can map any combination of signals to High, Medium, or Low priority tiers, allowing your team to always know which accounts to focus on, based on criteria your team actually trusts.

Who is this for?

Scoring Settings is built for Sales Managers who want their team focused on the right accounts, defining exactly which signals mean a company is worth pursuing, based on their specific ICP and vertical.

System Admins set up scoring criteria for the whole team, creating a consistent and standardized baseline across the company. Each user can then customize it further to perfectly fit their own workflow.

How to access Scoring Settings

You can reach Scoring Settings from two places:

  • Homepage → click the Scoring Settings card
  • Left side nav bar → Signals Management → Scoring settings

Understanding the workspace

The Scoring Settings page has two main areas:

Signal Library (left sidebar) A searchable library of your defined signals you can assign to scoring tiers, organized into categories: Intent, News, Traffic, Technology, and Ad Networks. Not sure what a signal means? Learn more about sales signals and how to define them here.

Scoring Tiers (main area) Three collapsible tier cards - High, Med, and Low - each representing a priority level. Each tier contains one or more conditions that define when a company qualifies for that score.

Building your scoring rules

  1. Find your signal in the left sidebar. Use the search bar or browse by category to find the signal you want.
  2. Drag and drop it into the relevant tier card on the right.
    • Dropping into empty space creates a new OR group - the company qualifies if this condition is met on its own.
    • Dropping onto an existing condition adds it as an AND condition - both signals must match for the rule to apply.
  3. Refine your conditions as needed. Click on any condition card to remove it, or drag conditions to reorder them within a tier.
  4. Add a custom signal if the library doesn't have exactly what you need. Click + Add signals at the top of the sidebar.
