Set up an AI Brand Visibility campaign

Setting up an AI Brand Visibility campaign is the first step to understanding how your brand shows up in AI search.

You’ll be able to see where your brand appears in AI answers, how it compares to competitors, and which topics and prompts matter most.

Before you start

To get the most accurate insights, make sure you have:

Your primary website domain
Your official brand name (and common variants)
A clear idea of the regions, languages, and topics you care most about

Step 1: Open AI Brand Visibility and enter your domain

Navigate to the AI Brand Visibility module and enter your website domain. This tells Similarweb which brand and digital presence you want to analyze across AI-generated answers.

🚨 Note: You cannot change your website domain once the campaign is set up.

Step 2: Add your brand name and variations

Enter your brand name as it’s most commonly known.

For accurate tracking, we recommend:

Using your formal brand name
Include common variants or abbreviations (for example, Pepsi and PepsiCo). There’s no limit to the number of brand variations you can add.

This ensures AI mentions are captured even when your brand appears in slightly different forms.

Step 3: Select region and language

Choose the region and language you want to track.

AI answers can vary significantly by geography and language, so this step helps ensure your visibility insights reflect the markets that matter most to your business.

Step 4: Choose your topic mix

Topics define where you want to be visible in AI.

You can:

Use suggested topics, based on what your brand is already known for
Or add your custom topics to focus on specific:
- Product lines
- Use cases
- Themes where visibility is most important for your business

For each topic, we automatically surface a curated set of the most relevant prompts for you to track in your campaign.

Step 5: Create your campaign

Once everything is set, confirm to create your campaign, and we’ll generate your AI Brand Visibility report within one hour.
