Using AI Meeting Prep Agent

AI Meeting Prep is a Similarweb Sales Intelligence AI agent that automates the heavy lifting of pre-meeting research. By drawing on Similarweb's digital data ecosystem, including web traffic and engagement data, live CRM insights, technographics, news signals, ad networks, and intent data, it compiles everything into a tailored strategic brief in seconds.

Rather than spending hours jumping between dashboards, reports, and browser tabs before a call, AI Meeting Prep brings all the intelligence you need into one place. The result is a structured sales playbook built specifically around your prospect or client, the people in the meeting, and the goal you're trying to achieve.

What the Write-up Includes

The output is your personal sales playbook. Delivered in a consultancy-style format, every brief provides the following sections:

Meeting Objective: Highlights why the meeting matters, the company's strategic position, recent developments, and their top pain points.

Attendee Analysis: Deep insight into each individual participant: their role, professional background, and specific tactics to engage and influence them effectively.

Traffic & Competitive Landscape: A breakdown of the prospect's digital market share, traffic acquisition channel mix, and how their key direct competitors are performing.

Competitor Comparison: A matrix analysis that puts the prospect side by side with their competitors, surfacing their strengths, weaknesses, and strategic gaps.

Growth Opportunities: Identifies untapped digital demand, technographic gaps, and clear optimization levers that you can position your product against.

Strategic Recommendations: Tailored guidance on exactly how your product or solution aligns with the prospect's digital growth priorities.

Closing Strategy: Actionable talking points and objection-handling tips designed to bring the meeting to a successful next step.

The agent draws on the following Sales Signals data sets to compile the brief: company data, intent signals, news and media signals, technographics, traffic and engagement data, technology signals, and ad network signals.

How to Access the Agent

Via the Similarweb Chrome Extension

When you are browsing a prospect's website while the Similarweb Chrome Extension is active, you can launch the AI Meeting Prep directly from the extension panel. Open the extension by clicking the Similarweb icon in your browser toolbar, then look for the AI Meeting Prep option within the extension panel and click it. The agent will launch pre-loaded with the domain you're currently visiting, so you can jump straight to configuration.

Via your Google Calendar

If you have the extension installed, when an external meeting is added to your calendar (for example, a prospect or client accepts a meeting invite and it appears in your Google Calendar), the Similarweb Chrome Extension will detect the upcoming meeting and surface a meeting brief prompt directly inside the extension. Click through to view your AI Meeting Prep brief without needing to manually search for the company. The brief is generated based on the meeting context and company details pulled from the calendar event.

How to Use the Agent

Using AI Meeting Prep is simple, fast, and fully guided. Here's how it works step by step.

Step 1: Select the Target Company

Type the name of your prospect or client into the search field (for example, "Walmart" or "Hertz"). The agent will surface relevant domain options from the Similarweb ecosystem. Select the correct one to proceed.

Step 2: Define Your Meeting Goal

From the dropdown, choose the type of meeting you're preparing for: Intro, Follow-up, Renewal, QBR, Upsell, Close, or Other. This selection shapes the tone, focus, and strategic angle of the brief that's generated.

Step 3: Add Attendees and Their Roles

Search for meeting attendees by name or role, or paste in their LinkedIn URLs. The agent uses this information to map key decision-makers and personalise the influence tactics included in the Attendee Analysis section.

Step 4: Refine Competitors and Add Notes

Review the auto-populated competitor list and add or remove specific market players to tailor the benchmarking matrix to what's most relevant. Use the Additional Notes field to highlight specific pain points, focus areas, geographies, or anything else you want the agent to prioritise when generating the brief.

Step 5: Generate the Brief

Click Generate. The agent compiles your comprehensive brief within seconds, pulling together all relevant data points into a clean, structured one-pager.

Tailor the AI Settings to You

Before running your first brief, review the AI Settings. The more context you give the agent about your own product and business, the more precisely it can frame every brief around what you actually sell, and how you sell it.

To access AI Settings, click the ⚙ AI settings button in the top-right corner of the AI Meeting Prep page.

There are four fields to configure:

  1. My Product Offering: Add tags for the products or solutions you sell. The agent uses this to anchor its Strategic Recommendations and Growth Opportunities sections around your specific value proposition, rather than speaking in generalities.
  2. Manage Sales Collateral: Upload up to 10 files such as one-pagers, pitch decks, battlecards, or product sheets. When the agent has access to your actual marketing materials, it can draw on your positioning, messaging, and proof points to make the brief sound like it came from your team.
  3. Target Market: Set your default target geography (e.g. Worldwide, United States, Europe). This tells the agent which regional lens to apply when analysing traffic data, competitive performance, and growth opportunities, so the output is always relevant to the markets you actually operate in.
  4. Language Output: Choose the language you want your briefs delivered in. This is especially useful for teams working across different regions or for reps who prefer to prep and present in their local language. The default follows the platform language setting.

Once saved, your AI Settings apply automatically to every brief you generate and you won't need to re-enter this information each time. Think of it as a one-time setup that makes every future brief sharper and more personalised from the start.

Reviewing, Refining, and Exporting Your Brief

Once the brief is generated, you're not locked into the first output. You have several options for how to interact with it.

Refine via AI Chat: Use the built-in chat to ask the agent to dig deeper into a specific section, adjust the focus to a particular competitor or market, or rewrite a section entirely. For example: "Can you focus the Growth Opportunities section on their paid search performance?"

Generate Deliverables: Ask the agent to repurpose the brief into other formats. For example: "Turn this into a 3-slide presentation outline" or "Draft a pre-meeting email I can send to the attendees."

Manage Your View: Expand or collapse individual sections of the brief to keep your screen clean during live calls or while sharing your screen.

Export as PDF: When you're ready, click Download as PDF to export a polished version of the brief for internal sharing or your own reference during the meeting.
