FAQs
Q: How is the the trend element calculated?
When calculating trends, it's important to distinguish between YoY growth and the comparison of the latest trends (last 4 weeks vs. last 12 weeks). We assess trends by comparing 4-week and 12-week visit averages. We set thresholds to categorize these trends: • An increase> 2% is labeled as "Rising" • An increase> 7% is labeled as "Spiking" • Within ±2% is labeled as "Steady" • A decrease > 2% is labeled as "Falling" • A decrease > 7% is labeled as "Plummeting"
Q: What does “Analysis on SW” mean? And what If someone doesn't have access to pro.similarweb.com, would it direct them to the LITE?
A: We bridge Stock Intelligence to Web Intelligence because when analyzing macro trends in a specific industry, we often come across private companies that act as direct or indirect competitors. Additionally, some domains are not yest covered on Stock Intelligence, so they are considered "not listed" or "private" entities. In such cases, we aim to provide comprehensive solutions and ensure that users can continue exploring. For this purpose, we redirect users to the default solution available to all Stock Intelligence customers.
Q: Why is the sorting order different between the Treemap and Heatmap widgets?
A: In the Treemap widget, we sort the order based on market share size (e.g., "Top 5," "Top 10," "Top 20") and their year-over-year (YoY) growth performance. However, in the Heatmap widget, we sort the domains by their growth trend, which includes metrics such as YoY, 4-week average, and 12-week average.
Q: How often is the data refreshed?
A: The data is refreshed every two weeks, in line with the Sector Analysis data update schedule.
Q: How many domains are available for Industry analysis?
A: Our Industry Analysis covers the same domains as our Website Analysis module. Each domain included has an average of 1,000 total visits per day, based on the yearly average.
