Getting Started with Keyword Analysis

Take a deep-dive analysis into any keyword

Keyword Analysis enables you to uncover the digital market share for any keyword on the web, based on the actual traffic (i.e. user clickstream) generated by a particular keyword to any site on all search engines. Keyword Analysis also uncovers SERP metrics such as Position and Volume in order to help you optimize your SEO, PPC and Content campaigns. In addition, with Keyword Groups, you can save and monitor the traffic share of up to 200 keywords that are most relevant to your business.

Understand the competitive landscape for any keyword

To get started with Keyword Analysis, navigate to the main menu bar to select the Keyword Analysis module and type the industry keyword you would like to analyze into the search bar.

Remember to select your time frame and country at the top of the page and Organic or Paid Competitors in the main menu bar.

To detect the popularity of a keyword use the Search Volume metric to understand how many average monthly searches were performed on a particular keyword or keyword group in the past 12 months. By referring to a keyword's CPC price estimation, you can further assess the demand for a particular keyword which is especially useful for paid search optimization and bidding.  


Discover which sites are dominating your most relevant keywords

To view the keyword traffic share of all the domains that receive traffic from a given keyword in the table select the Domains tab. First, you can view the Traffic Share graph and discover the top 5 sites that receive traffic from your keyword or keyword group. Analyze these sites further by referring to the Pos. column for the Google SERP position for each domain. 

Track your share of keywords that are most relevant to your business

With Keyword Analysis you can monitor the performance of a brand, product line, campaign or marketing initiative over time. This can easily be done by creating and saving a keyword group of 200 keywords. 

Start by clicking on the + New Keyword Group within Keyword Analysis, enter or paste up to 200 keywords for your group and then easily access and monitor your keyword groups from the Choose Keyword Group section in the main menu bar.

Don't forget to ensure that your time frame and country filters are set. You can easily get a broader view of your market share by filtering to last 12 months or more.  


Optimize your SEO and content marketing campaigns based on winning keywords 

With Keyword Analysis you can drive your SEO and content marketing campaigns based on keywords and landing pages that generate high search traffic.

You can do this by selecting the Keywords tab in the Traffic Breakdown table but just make sure that you have selected your Keyword Group first.

You can start by viewing the Traffic Share column and sort by the Change column to qualify and spot successful and new keywords on the rise.

Take inspiration from your search traffic competitors by analyzing new and engaging content ideas so you can create the most effective landing pages. 

From the Traffic Breakdown table in the Domains tab, click on the icon in the Destination URL column to view which landing pages that work best for a particular keyword.
